PBF Group B.V. receives subsidy for High Power Platform for Laser Applications

The development of the High Power Platform for Laser Applications (HPPLA).

This is a platform from which, in a short amount of time, compact and reliable prototypes can be derived, for industrial (pulsed) lasers.

Due to the modular approach, the available power can easily be scaled. It is possible to synchronize the power supplies and use units in parallel to increase power levels.
HPPLA combines all functionality into one unit, where in the past multiple sub systems were required. This approach reduces the component count. Due to the use of the latest technologies, this design has a better overall efficiency compared to other solutions.
PBF Group BV (Almelo, The Netherlands) and Elect BV (Weerselo, The Netherlands) develop this platform in close cooperation.

The Operational Program (OP) EFRO East side of the Netherlands is a mutual Subsidy Program of the Province of Overijssel and Gelderland and is working on a structural strengthening of the economy. East side of the Netherlands sets in the EFRO resources on innovation encouragement and low-carbon economy. The purpose is that more SME companies have increasing turnover from new developed products.

PBF Group B.V. receives major follow-up order for high power supply solutions for security, safety and communication needs

Brunnthal/Munich, Germany, August 31, 2016 – PBF Group B.V. (PBF), a company of SFC Energy AG (ISIN: DE0007568578), leading provider of hybrid power solutions to the stationary and mobile power generation markets, announces the receipt of major follow-up order of a large, international security systems company for the delivery of high power supply solutions for security, safety and communication needs. The order will generate total revenues to the amount of EUR 4.7 million over 24 months, starting in Q4 2016.

“This follow-up order for another two years clearly demonstrates the excellence of our high power supplies in demanding applications”, says Hans Pol, CSO of SFC Energy. “Customers appreciate the combined power generation, power management, systems integration and service expertise in our Group.”

The highly sensitive, safety-related public address and professional audio systems used at airports, railway stations, event locations etc. need “clean” power, i.e. stable electricity with a highly precise ripple voltage. Positioned between power source and device, PBF’s high power supplies ensure that the device is supplied with the exact voltage it requires. This significantly reduces energy costs for operation of the devices, improves their performance, and simultaneously extends their useful life. The follow-up order builds on the success of PBF’s power supplies in this application. PBF has sold and installed over 150,000 high power supplies worldwide.
